The Spray Paint Chronicles

Hi my name is Jennifer and i'm a spray paint addict. Whenever i'm at the thrift store, I point out several items and say, "I could totally spray paint that and make it awesome". Which is exactly what I did with these cats. These cats weren't totally hideous to begin with and I debated keeping them grey... however I got over that pretty quickly.

I began with spray painting one outside, however it was way too cold and windy out. The paint kept dying too fast and the wind kept blowing the paper away (hence the extension cord keeping the paper down).

Anyways here is the end result. I'm hoping to use them as book ends one day. Not bad for a $4 thrift store find.

Happy Sunday

I hope everyone had a nice and relaxing sunday. I definitely had a busy sunday. Today I checked out the scattered seeds christmas craft market and bought the cutest print from One Plus One Design. Her prints are so adorable and you need to look at them ASAP! Afterwards I made a quick run to Ikea to get a frame for my print. However, I bought the wrong size of frame so this temporary frame with have to make do for now...

While at Ikea I spotted these cute fabrics that i'm thinking I might reupholster one of my chairs in... i'm leaning more towards the thick stripes.

Anyways, that was my Sunday. I'll leave you with this lovely sign that I saw at the craft market, I hope you all have a great week!

Beautiful Spaces: Pantry

Sorry for dropping off the face of the earth for awhile there. The past few weeks have been insanely busy (ie. Vacation, my sister's wedding, thanksgiving, etc). For my vacation this year I went to Las Vegas. I just so happen to stay at The Mirage which had one of the cutest restaurant called Pantry. Every time I walked by Pantry I said to my boyfriend, "CAN MY HOUSE LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THIS ONE DAY?" or "is it possible to live in a restaurant?". So of course I took some sneaky pictures that I thought i'd share with you (ignore the terrible quality please).

Let's start with the flooring, they had this bold tile as well as dark wood floors, which contrasted the white walls perfectly (ignore the butt in the corner).

They also had off white subway tile and large photographs in white frames. If I remember correctly, the picture on the wall was a black and white photograph of Picasso.

The bar was also amazing (of course). I'm obsessed with the marble counters and wood cupboards.

Anyways, my terrible 2am pictures do Panty no justice so you should just go see it for yourself!
